For over a two decades, Anthony has worked with organizations in a wide range of industries.

In November 2016 he got into this practice while working with companies with revenues of less than $1m as a mentor for a leading entrepreneurial mentorship program in North Carolina.

During this period Anthony has since served as an advisor and CEO for organizations as they launch or restructure their tech companies to help build profitability, prepare for investment and transform the company and its people it into multi-million dollar revenue generators.

  • What types of organizations do you work with?

    We work with all stage companies. Our focus has been on early and growth stage organizations which can see significant impact from our assistance.

  • Do you leverage any business modeling practices with the orga-nizations you work with?

    Yes, out team has been trained to leverage the Business Model Canvas and Design Thinking for Innovation practices.

  • How does an engagement work?

    Every situation is unique. However, some fairly common steps include the following:

    -Initial discussion to understand your basic needs.
    -Review your existing materials (draft business plans, financials, market research, competitor research, etc.).
    -Follow-up discussion to clarify details and agree upon the scope and fees for the project.
    -Several in-depth discussions to better understand the details, develop strategies, and agree on all major elements of the business plan, financial models etc.
    -Conduct additional research, as needed.

  • Can you guarantee we will raise capital?

    Of course not. Nobody can make that guarantee (and if somebody ever makes that guarantee, it’s a good idea to run away quickly). A good plan is essential, but a plan alone will not get funded. Although we will do our best to help you prepare, we have no control over how well you present yourselves to investors, or how well you answer their questions. We can coach and we can mentor, but at the end of the day, it’s your business and we will help our best for you to close the deal.

  • How long is a typical project?

    Some very simple projects can be completed in just a few days or weeks, and we have had other projects extend well over a year (of course these engagements involved much more than just business planning).

  • Will you agree with everything I say?

    Only if you’re always right. ;-) One of our jobs is to help you avoid mistakes. We’ll challenge your ideas and assumptions so that you’ll be ready for the tough questions and road ahead.

  • Will you take all or part of your fees in equity, or defer it until we raise capital?

    Only under extraordinary circumstances, and only if you are already generating revenues.

  • Can you share examples of your work?

    We are unable to email you a sample for confidentially with other organizations. Just as we would not share your information. If you would like a closer look, we can schedule a meeting to review other similar projects with you.

  • Where are you located and will you work with clients outside of your area?

    We are headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have clients in many locations and we rely heavily on the phone, e-mail, and online meeting tools, and have never met half of our clients in person. We do this to keep your costs down for the projects by not having travel and expense fees.

    If desired, we are available to visit you at your offices outside of the area, but additional fees would be incurred.

  • What are your qualifications?

    We’re all experienced entrepreneurs. Many have worked at small and large companies as C level executives. Most importantly, we all have proven track records with transforming companies in many capacities.

  • Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?

    Gladly. We prefer to use a Mutual NDA so that our own trade secrets can be protected as well.

  • What is the origin of the Hubworx name?

    The name was derived from a group of like minded originals that were working together to advise and grow companies. Realizing our strengths together we formed Hubworx.
